Oklahoma history and hospitality come to life on our Eastern Oklahoma Fam trip. From the oldest government building still standing, to history, culture, a 180-year-old prison, the cabin where the Cherokee Syllabary was written and some pretty darn good pizza, this journey begins at the end of the Trail of Tears.
Museums showcasing Oklahoma’s musical talent and the history of an Osage trading area, along with a bigger-than-life deputy US marshal round out your next stop. You’ll then savor iconic Americana with comfort food, cultural heritage, a Sasquatch-themed filling station, winery, and saloon before tucking in to dream about your own ‘Squatching adventures at the Choctaw Landing in gorgeous Beavers Bend State Park. Learn how this lodge is taking meaningful travel to the next level.
The next morning, catch the sunrise and hit the road to learn about Oklahoma’s surprising circus connection, savor country star home cooking, and explore the world-class Choctaw Cultural Center before hitting the casino and resort. We’ll bet a dollar you hear, “Y’all come back now!” a time or three on this Fam.
The recommended departure time is the afternoon of Sunday, November 22, from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
