Travel Exchange is about connections

Travel Exchange is NTA’s annual convention, where our members connect with each other in meaningful ways to build business, share ideas, and create working relationships.

The premier event for packaged travel professionals, Travel Exchange attracts representatives of destinations and tour suppliers from every U.S. state and Canadian province, and 30-plus countries worldwide. They meet with tour operators and travel advisors who create innovative, multiday itineraries for groups of all ages.

Travel Exchange is also where members hone their industry knowledge and build a productive network of peers. More than anything, Travel Exchange—and NTA—is a welcoming community of focused, friendly professionals.

New this year! TREXconneX 

A list of appointments just doesn’t do the job of recording all the professionals (aka potential business partners) you meet at Travel Exchange. It’s a good start, but it’s utterly incomplete. There are so many other people you talk with outside of appointments—at meals, in Sales Missions, during happy hours, on the bus, in the bar, etc. At TREX, there’s a great conversation around every corner, and now you can keep track of them all. Instead of limiting your record of contacts to the people you meet in appointments, you can keep a bigger and better list—a more complete list—with TREXconneX.

TREXconneX is a tracking program within the NTA Events app that allows delegates to record the contacts (and contact info) you make throughout the show. Using your phone, you can quickly scan the QR code on the nametag of each person you connect with. At the end of the show, you’ll receive a report of the connections you made, and you can use it to make follow-up calls—or show your colleagues how productive you were at TREX! NTA conducted a pilot program of the QR-code-scanning app at Contact in May. The HQ team collected feedback from attendees, and we’ve been working with our exclusive app designer to add more functions and roll it out for Travel Exchange in Ottawa as TREXconneX.
