WEST TEXAS FAM TOUR

West Texas is the Best Texas

You’ll want to make sure your boots are made for walkin’ as you head out to experience all the charm and hospitality that West Texas has to offer. Your first stop will be Amarillo, Texas, in the heart of the Texas Panhandle. Here you will experience a piece of Native American culture through the Kwahadi Dancers, step-back-in-time at Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum (the largest history museum in Texas!), marvel at over 300,000 lights in the Amarillo Botanical Gardens and be awestruck by the second largest canyon in the US, Palo Duro Canyon. Next, head south to Lubbock, Texas. Home of rock-n-roll legend, Buddy Holly and 90% of Texas wine grapes, Lubbock is a can’t miss! The J.I. Allison House at the Buddy Holly Center is a unique experience allowing you to stand where Buddy stood while writing That’ll Be The Day. Quench your thirst by sampling Texas wines at one of Lubbock’s six award-winning wineries. Name a more sweet (or dry) way to wrap up a visit to West Texas – the Best Texas…we’ll wait!”
